In May 2013 I was elected by the people of the Hillsboro, Oregon school district to serve on its Board of Directors. On my resume, you will see that I'm a certified teacher, an engineer in Hillsboro's high-tech industry, a resident of the Hillsboro area since 1994, an independent educational podcaster (see mathmutation.com), and a concerned father. I'm interested in hearing your reactions to my various thoughts on schools, education, children, and related topics. Although no longer on the board as of July 2017, I'll continue to occasionally comment on these issues.
Opinions on this blog are my personal opinions only, and do not represent my employer (Intel), the Hillsboro School District, or any other group of which I am a member.
